Parenting may be one of the most rewarding jobs we will ever have, but it is also one of the hardest. Sometimes the distance between what we have envisioned for our families, and what we experience daily, seems impossibly wide.
You are not alone. There are families like yours facing similar challenges, from parenting a child with challenging needs and behaviors to coping with overwhelming changes or stressors.
Thankfully, decades of research along with evidence-based techniques give us many options for how to support families just like yours.
It can get better. It can get easier. It can even get more joyful and fun!
Whatever unique challenges led you here today, I am happy you are here and look forward to connecting with you and your family.
About Lindsay
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in psychotherapy with families with young children. I am a registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, a DIR Floortime Practitioner (DIR Basic), and a trainer for Strengthening Families. I have extensive training in many evidence-based child and family therapy models including Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT.
I have worked with children and families for about a decade in a variety of settings including childcare, early education, foster care, and therapy. These years of experience, including my experience parenting my own children, has led me to take a play-based and child-led approach to the services I provide families.
I grew up in Raleigh, NC, pursued my undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, began graduate school at California State University-Los Angeles, and received my MSW from the University of Oklahoma. I live in Cary, NC with my husband and two sons.

Services
Primarily serving families with toddlers through school age children, I provide child and family therapy using a neurodevelopmental lens. I draw on a range of evidence-based practices and tailor care to meet the needs of each family.

What to expect
After an initial consultation to determine if I am a good fit for your family, I will go deeper into learning about your child, including their early development and details about their current challenges. From there, we will collaboratively develop a plan for treatment. This plan may include sessions where:
-
Parent(s), child, and therapist are all in person together
-
In-person sessions with the child individually
-
Sessions with parent(s) and therapist (may be in person or online).
